Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) was resurged in the year 1948 at Shimla. The commission was shifted to Patiala in the year 1956 after the merger of the States of Punjab and Pepsu.

The Commission is involved in all recruitments relating to the various Government posts, and in advising the State Government with regard to all departmental promotions and departmental service rules.

Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Veterinary Officer in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development, Punjab.

Pay Scale: Rs. 15600 - 39100 + Grade pay of Rs. 5400

Eligibility:

Age Criteria – The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 37 years (Relaxable as per rules).

Qualification and experience – The candidate must have done Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from any recognized Institution or University. The candidates with PhD or M.V.Sc in any any branch of Animal Husbandry and veterinary Science will be given preference. The candidates must have done Punjabi in Matric standard.

Selection Process:

The selection process consists of interview. Only short listed candidates will be called for the interview.

The application cost is Rs. 25 if application form is obtained in person, or Rs. 75 that must be sent as crossed demand draft of drawn in favor of the Secretary, Punjab Public Service Commission, payable at Patiala if application form is obtained through post.

The application fee of Rs. 50 for SC/ ST of all States and BC candidates of Punjab, and Rs. 200 for others. There is no fee for Ex-Servicemen of Punjab. The examination fee must be sent along with application form through a crossed bank draft that must be drawn in favor of the Secretary, Punjab public Service Commission, payable at Patiala.
