The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) came into existence on 1 November 1973. The ASRB belongs to the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. The ASRB was set up under the approval of the Gajendragadkar Committee.
The primary roles of the ASRB are to recruit suitable people for different vacancies in the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
Job Profile:
Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Assistants at ICAR HQ and its Research Institutes.

Pay Scale – Rs. 9300 - 34800 + Rs. 4600 and Grade pay of Rs. 4200
Eligibility:
Age criteria – The minimum age limit is 20 years and the maximum age limit is 27 years (Relaxable as per rules).

Selection Process:
The selection for the post is through online competitive preliminary examination and main examination. Only those who qualify in the preliminary examination will be allowed to write the main examination.

Application Fee:
The application fee is Rs. 1000 if made online, and the fee is Rs. 1500 if made offline. There is no fee for SC/ ST/ PD/ Women candidates.
