The term Lok Sabha indicates House of the People and it is the directly elected lower house of the Sansad. During the year 2009, there were 15 lok sabhas elected by the people of India. The member limit of the lok sabha is up to 552 members, which is inclusive of two members representing the Anglo-Indian Community and 20 members representing people from the Union Territories. The present size of the sabha is 545 members inclusive of two appointed members and a speaker.

Lok Sabha Secretariat invites applications from eligible ex-servicemen for the position of Security Assistant Grade – II.

Name of the position: Security Assistant Grade – II

Number of Vacancies: 27

Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 plus Grade Pay of Rs.4200

Eligibility Requirement:

Educational Qualification & Experience: Candidates must be ex-servicemen possessing qualification of Class 12 or intermediate from the recognized board and they should possess training/experience in handling and operation of arms and should be well-versed in different types of chores concerned with CCTV operation, area sanitization, anti-sabotage checks and related ground duties. Preference will be given to candidates with UG degree in any discipline.

Age requirement: Candidates must not be more than 45 years of age as on the 27th of June 2011. However, this age limit is not applicable to employees of lok sabha secretariat if they have offered three years of continuous service in lok sabha as on the 27th of June 2011.

Selection procedure:

Selection of candidates will be done based on the performance of candidates in the personal interview in front of the selection board for 100 marks. The minimum qualifying mark to be secured by the candidates in this interview is 50%, 45% and 40% respectively for general, OBC and SC/ST candidates. Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the interview on the basis of availability of vacancies.
