The ITER was formed in 1985, the formation of the institute was initiated by President Gorbachov of Soviet Union and President Ronald Reagan of United States. The collaboration is formed by European Union, Japan, Russian Federation and USA.

ITER experiments in fusion power. It plans to produce 10 times more fusion power then the existing.

ITER – India – Institute of Plasma Research invites application for the following positions.

1. Officer (Purchase & Stores)

No. of Post – 01

Pay Scale – Pay Band 3 – Rs. 15,600 – 39,100 with Grade pay of Rs. 5,400. Total Rs. 40,500

Qualifications required –

a. Graduate / Post Graduate in any discipline

b. The candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in supervisory category.

c. The candidate should have thorough knowledge of purchase and stores, import and export procedure, contract & procurement of engineering equipments preferably in large Industrial / Government organization.

d. In addition to this the candidate should have knowledge of Central excise, customs clearance, sales tax, shipping, insurance, inventory control, stock verification, Government of India rules & regulations. Procedure for Indigenous and foreign equipments.

e. The candidate should have an excellent command over English

f. Knowledge of computers would be an added advantage.

g. The age limit is 45 years.

2. Assistant Officer (Purchase and Stores)

No. of Post – 01

Pay Scale – Pay Band 2 – Rs. 9,300 – 34,800 with Grade pay of Rs. 4,600. Total Rs. 31,500

Qualifications required –

a. Graduate in any discipline

b. The candidate should have at least 7 years of experience, out of which 3 years of experience should be in Purchase and Stores preferably with Industrial / Government organization.

c. The candidate should be able to do independent correspondence and be proficient in computers.

d. In addition to this the candidate should have knowledge of Central excise, customs clearance, sales tax, shipping, insurance, inventory control, stock verification, Government of India rules & regulations

e. The age limit is 35 years.
