System Officer is a position offered in high courts and different law courts functioning in different parts of a country. The main purpose behind the appointment of system officer is to assist the district court and high court in ICT System management & administration and discharge of duties independently as and when needed. Candidates appointed for the position of System Officer are normally paid around Rs.11500 as consolidated pay on per month basis.

Allahabad High Court – Consolidated pay Rs.11100 per month

Gauhati High Court - Consolidated pay Rs.11100 per month

High Court of Madhya Pradesh – Consolidated pay Rs.11500 per month

Delhi High Court - Consolidated pay Rs.11100 per month

Educational Qualification:

To find job opportunity in the position of System Officer in courts, candidates must be Bachelor of Technology/Engineering degree holders in fields like information technology/computer science engineering or MCA degree with not less than 60% of aggregate marks. Candidates with PG degree in operation research/statistics/mathematics/physics with first class or at least 60% of marks in aggregate or equivalent grade with PG diploma in computer science/applications are also eligible to apply to the post of System Officer in courts.

Experience:

To apply for the position of System Officer, candidates must possess experience on service administration, web designing, SQL Service, PHP, Linux, etc…

Age requirement:

The maximum age limit to apply for the position of System Officer is 35 years and minimum age requirement is 21 years. However, some courts specify that the upper age limit is 30 years to apply for the position of System Officer.

Selection Procedure:

As the initial step in the process of recruiting candidates for the position of System Officer, the courts conduct written test and candidates succeeding in the written test will be called for the second stage of recruitment process, which is personal interview. Final selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the personal interview.

Job responsibilities of a system officer:

In addition to the already mentioned fundamental responsibility of system officer, candidates appointed for this position will also have to perform certain additional tasks and the details regarding these tasks are given below:

To assist the project supervision committees of the Taluka, District or High court to which they are appointed in system management and administration

To manage the infrastructure of the court with respect to ICT such as internet connection, LAN, printers, scanners, laptops, computers, servers and communication equipment like modem, router, switches, etc…

To interact with vendors for supporting and maintaining the equipment

Installation and maintenance of customized application, office tools and operating systems

To assist in training end-users

Any other technical duties/support as assigned by the district or high court for which they are appointed

Thus, System Officer is a technical position that will be assigned with duties pertaining to the management of computer and related systems.
