One of the most prestigious and honourable profession in this world is of the Defence services. Army being the backbone of defence services it requires people with great metal and physical strength. The army people are specially trained to compete on land. The field of army does not only mean to fight on border, it also provides job opportunities in technical and medical fields as well. Army has a great demand for engineers to maintain and develop their ammunition; also it has a great demand for doctors to take care of their soldiers who fight on the border.
Technical field of Army:-
- Signals:- This profession in army requires people those who provide communication link between the soldiers, cantonments and troops. They help in building and maintaining the equipment through which the radio contact is possible and the requirement s of the soldiers can reach to the top level officials and any message from top level officials can reach to the soldiers.
- Civil Engineers:- As the work of the army is field related, the requirement of civil engineers is a must in order to construct roads for the movement of army and also to construct camps in order to provide accommodation to the soldiers. One of the key issues of army is to make plans, so in this case the civil engineers are very important in order to conduct surveys and to make maps for their army men.
- Electrical and mechanical engineers:- One of the important issues of army is their equipment and they need people who can keep their equipment in good condition so that they don’t suffer at a time of emergency.
- Medical :- Army also provides huge opportunities for doctors and nurses
- Nursing officers:- It takes care of the patients i.e. the injured soldiers and also they treat their family in case of need.
- Dental officers:- The need of dental doctors is also very much and is not just a small filed in army.
- Army service corps:- AMC are responsible for managing the hospitals in which the soldiers and their families are treated.
Except for being a soldier one has a great scope for a career in Defence sevices.
