Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is a unique step taken by Government of India for spreading awareness about school education in India and elsewhere. The function perfomed by the samiti includes selection of talented rural children and then providing them the best quality education. Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is determined to provide or make good quality education available to the poor or infact rural kids. The main idea behind the establishment of such samiti was to uplift the children with special talent or aptitude. Serving the objectives of excellence coupled with equity and social jusctice and promotion of national integration are two of the major objective of the samiti.

Job Profile:

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is looking forward for making recruitment of eligible Indian Citizens on the vacant posts of Trained Graduate Teachers in various subjects. The subjects in which the vacancies are available includes English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics, Biology, History, Geography and Commerce. Candidates will be selected on the positions purelu on direct recruitment basis. Selected candidates will be recruited in the Jawahr Navodaya Vidyalayas located in various districts of the country.

Eligibility:

The maximum age limit set for the post of Trained Graduate Teahcer in various Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas is 40 years as on 30 November 2011. Interested candidates are required to have age below than the specified prescribed maximum age limit set for the post. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories such as Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes etc, may get relaxation of few years in the maximum age limit set for the post, as per the rules of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

The minimum educational qualification required for the post of Trained Graduate Teacher is Post Graduate M.Sc. degree from a recognized regional college of Education of NCERT in the concerned subjects. candidates should have done their post graduate degree in the subjects of either English or Hindi or Physics or Chemistry or Mathematics or Economics or Biology or History or Geography or Commerce. Candidates must have passed the prescribed qualification with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

No. of posts: Several posts are available.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4800.

Application Fee:

Application fee for General and OBC candidates: Rs. 500 only.
No fee is to be submitted by candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH categories. Women candidates are also exempted from the payment of this application fee.

Candidates are required to pay the prescribed amount of application fee in cash through the use of a Payment Challan. The payment challan can be easily downloaded from the official website of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. The payment challan should be made in favour of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti only.

Selection Process:

Selection Process for the posts of Trained Graudate Teacher is comprises of two different stages:

1. Competitive Written Examination, and
2. Personal Interview test/ Group Discussion.
