Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission is presently functioning under the control of Government of Andhra Pradesh and it was previously functioning as two separate public service commissions as Andhra Public Service Commission and Hyderabad Public Service Commission before the formation of Andhra Pradesh as a separate state.
Recruitment by Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission:
Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has invited for online applications from eligible candidates for the various positions to work different departments of the government of AP. The online application will be made available on the website of APPSC from 9th of December to 8th of January 2011.

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 25, which is divided among the positions mentioned above as follows:
1. Deputy Collectors in A.P. Civil Service (Executive Branch) - 07
2. District Tribal Welfare Officer in A.P. Tribal Welfare Service - 04
3. Asst. Treasury Officer/Asst. Accounts Officer in A.P. Treasury & Accounts Service - 10
4. District B.C. Welfare Officer in B.C. Welfare Service - 04

Pay Scale: For position 1 mentioned above, candidates will be coming under the pay of Rs.20680-46960, for positions 2 and 4, pay will be Rs.18030-43630, while for position no. 3, the pay scale will be 16150-42590.
Eligibility requirements:
Educational Qualification: For the position of Asst. Treasury Officer/Asst. Accounts Officer in A.P. Treasury & Accounts Service, candidates must be UG Degree holders in commerce or economics or mathematics from the recognized university with at least second class in the subject or CA from India or UK or must be an incorporated accountant. For other positions, candidates must be degree holders from an university recognized by the UGC.

Mode of selection:
For all positions, candidates will be selected based on the marks secured by them in the written examination, which should be taken up only by the candidates fulfilling the eligibility requirements. Application fee:
Application processing fee of Rs.100 should be paid by all candidates and candidates who are not exempted from payment of fee will have to pay Rs.120 towards examination fee. Candidates will have to log on to the website of www.apspsc.gov.in and should enter all personal details and after filling up the details, they will get downloadable challan form, which should be used for payment of fee through AP online centres or SBI. Last date for payment of application fee is 06th of January 2012.

Online application should be submitted by the interested candidates through the website of APPSC at www.apspsc.gov.in from 09th of December 2011 to 08th of January 2012.
