Structure of Osmania University Ph.D in Political Science Entrance Exam

The examination will be of objective nature with multiple choices. The total time duration of the exam will be 90 minutes. The medium of the exam will be English. The candidates require 30% marks in order to pass this exam. The reserved category candidates have a relaxation in the percentage marks required to pass this exam. The candidate who holds a post graduate degree in Political Science from any recognized University with at least 55% marks are eligible to apply for this exam. The candidates who obtained this degree through distance mode are also eligible to apply for this exam if that University is recognized by Distance Education council (DEC) located at New Delhi.

How to apply?

The application form and the brochure can be obtained from Director, Department of Publications and Press, Osmania University. The cost of the form will be Rs.100/-. One can collect the form through post as well. In this mode they have to send a request along with a DD of Rs.100/- in favour of “The Director, Directorate of Admissions, Osmania University” which is payable at Hyderabad. The candidate should send the completely filled application form along with a DD of Rs. 550/- in favour of “The Director, Directorate of Admissions, Osmania University” which is payable at Hyderabad to The Director, Directorate of Admissions, Near University Press, Osmania University.

How to fill the Form?

The candidate should enter their name in block letters and it must be same as that in the original documents. They should fill their address and contact number carefully without making any mistake. They should mention their date of birth and category correctly as these are important factors in the future proceedings. They should affix their recent passport size photograph in the appropriate places mentioned. They should also specify their qualification details correctly and they should put their signature in the appropriate places which should match with that in the original documents. They should cross check the entered details once they finished filling the form to make sure that no mandatory columns are left blank.
