Structure of IISc Integrated PhD Physical Sciences Entrance Exam

IISc Integrated PhD Physical Sciences Entrance Exam question paper will consists of objective type multiple choice questions. There will be 100 questions each having 4 alternative options. Correct answers will be rewarded 1 mark each. There will be no negative marking for the wrong ones. The time duration of the exam will be 180 minutes.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the IISc Integrated PhD Physical Sciences Entrance Exam, the aspirants should have completed their Bachelor of Science programme or an equivalent degree programme in Physical, Chemical or Biological Sciences (including Pharmaceutical, Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences) with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks. However there will be a relaxation in marks for the SC/ST candidates. For them, a pass is enough. The candidates in the final year programme of qualifying exam are also eligible to apply provided they can submit all the certificates at the time of admission.

How to Apply?

The aspirants can apply online for the IISc Integrated PhD Physical Sciences Entrance Exam from the University website http://admissions.iisc.ernet.in/web/Login.aspx. The candidates have to completely fill the application. After completion, click on the submit button. The printout of the completed application form has to be taken and along with essential documents and Demand Draft of Rs. 600/- (Rs.300 for SC/ST/PH candidates) has to be sent to ‘The Deputy Registrar’ (Academic), Admissions unit, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore -560 012 on or before the due date. One can also apply offline for which the application form along with information brochure can be bought from the concerned centres of IISc by fee payment of Rs. 600/- (Rs.300 for SC/ST/PH candidates).

How to fill the Form?

One has to be very careful while filling in the application form. The information brochure contains all the details regarding filling up of form. The applicants are advised to go through the same before filling. After completing filling the form, the aspirants have to be check once again whether all the columns have been filled and if there is any error before submission since application forms with incomplete or incorrect information will be rejected.
