CDAC is a pioneer institute that concentrates mainly in the field of research and development of information technology. The institution also offers various academic courses to aspirants. The selection of candidates in to certain courses such as Diploma in System Software Design, Embedded Systems Design, Advanced Business Computing etc. are carried out through entrance exams. Common Entrance Test (CET) is conducted at national level for the selection of candidates to these courses.

Structure of CDAC Common Entrance Test (CET)

The Common Entrance Test carried out by CDAC is an online entrance exam. The test includes objective type multiple choice questions. The test covers aptitude questions as well as questions from technical topics. The total number of questions is 150. The time allotted for the completion of the same is 2 hours. The candidate can gain one mark for each correct answer and loses ¼ marks for each wrong one.

Syllabus of CDAC Common Entrance Test (CET)

The first section includes questions on Computing Fundamentals. A total of 10 marks is awarded for this section. The questions of this section are based on the topics mentioned below.

The last section covers General Aptitude questions and the same carries 50 marks.

The candidates who are applying for the examination should possess sound computing and programming skills. Apart from this they must possess any of the educational qualifications mentioned below.

How to Apply?

The application fee for applying to CDAC common entrance examination is Rs. 500/- . This fee amount is applicable if the candidate applies for the examination through online methods. In case of manual payment, the candidate should pay an amount of Rs. 600/-. The fee must be payable in the name of ‘C-DAC, ACTS’. This must be payable at any nationalized bank in Pune. After filling the application completely, the same must be submitted before last date.

How to fill the Form?

  • Follow the guidelines provided in the information brochure
  • Fill the columns legibly/correctly
  • Recheck whether all the details are filled clearly
  • Mention the name and signature of the candidate in the back side of the Demand Draft
