WIMS (Wipro Infotech Master of Science) is a relatively new venture for employment launched by Wipro Infotech in the year 2005. Through this program BCA/B.Sc graduates can pursue 4 year MS program in BITS, Pilani. Such candidates can earn attractive stipend ranging from Rs. 7,500/- and Rs.23,000/- during the course period itself. After completion of the course they can work as IT professionals either at WIPRO or in any other reputed firms.

Eligibility and Selection Procedure for WIPRO WIMS

Candidates having completed Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) or Bachelor of Computer Management (BCM) can apply for the program. B.Sc graduates in any of the following streams can also apply.

• Computer Science
• Electrical
• Electronics
• Mathematics
• Physics
• Statistics

Eligible candidates must have scored a minimum of 60% marks in 10th, 12th, and degree. Pass out candidates of current year as well as last year can apply. More over such candidates must not have any back papers.

Selection of eligible candidates is done through a 3 stage screening process.

• Aptitude Test
• Technical Interview
• HR Interview

In the aptitude test, candidates can expect questions based on numerical ability, logical reasoning, verbal ability, etc. Basic computer knowledge of the candidate is usually evaluated in technical interview. Those who pass these two stages can move to the next level, HR interview, where the personality and attitude of the candidate are assessed.

Advantages of WIPRO WIMS

WIMS program of WIPRO is a 4 year training program in Information Technology/System Engineering which is beneficial for science graduates. Class room lectures and training in this program are offered in collaboration with Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS, Pilani).

Apart from class room training, candidate can have practical exposure to the infrastructure management service industry. Training sessions through live projects are suitable to improve the professional skills and competency of the candidate.

Another benefit of WIMS is that candidates are provided with stipend during the period of study. Stipend offered to the candidate during the course period is as follows.

First Academic Year

• First three months: Rs. 7,500/-
• Fourth to twelfth month:  Rs. 10,000/-

Second year: Rs. 12,500/-

Third year: Rs. 18,000/-

Fourth year: Rs. 23,000/-

After completion of the course, students are awarded with an MS Degree from BITS, Pilani. This is equivalent to ME/M.Tech degree offered by any of the Indian Universities.

Passed out students will be absorbed by the company as full time employees with rewarding salary packages. MS degree through WIMS will help them to find a rewarding job in any of the reputed companies.
