Eligibility Criterion for Graduate Engineer Profile in TNPL

Tamil Nadu News Print Limited has invited applications for the post of Graduate Engineers in various departments. Bachelor of Technology/ Engineering in respective subjects with a minimum of 70% marks is the minimum educational qualification. Selection procedure includes written test and interview.
Eligibility Criterion

Candidates having following educational qualifications are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant engineers in various departments.

Mechanical: Candidates who have completed Bachelor of Engineering/ Technology in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University are eligible to apply for this post. They should have secured a minimum of 70% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination so as to be eligible. Those who belong to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe are required to obtain at least 65% marks to qualify. Apart from this, candidates should have professional experience in relevant field for a minimum of 2 years. Those who are having work experience in cement industry will be given special preference.

Chemical Engineer: Candidates who have completed full time Bachelor of Engineering/ Technology course in any of the following courses are eligible to apply for this post.

  • Chemical Engineering
  • Chemical Technology
  • Pulp and Paper Technology

Minimum marks required for qualification is 70% for general category students. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Arunthathiyar communities can seek relaxation up to 5% in qualifying exam. Upper age limit for eligibility is 25 years. Reserved category candidates can seek 5 years relaxation in upper age limit.

Instrumentation: Those who have completed full time Bachelor of Engineering/ Technology course in any of the following courses are eligible to apply for this post.

  • Instrumentation Technology
  • Instrumentation & Control Engineering
  • Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering

Candidates should have completed the courses from a recognized University. They should have secured at least 70% marks in aggregate so as to be eligible. Candidates belonging to reserved categories can avail relaxation in qualifying marks as well as in upper age limit.

Civil: Candidates who have completed Bachelor of Technology/ Engineering in Civil Engineering with first class marks are eligible to apply. Maximum age limit for eligibility is 27 years.

Environment: Candidates who have completed Bachelor of Technology/ Engineering in Environmental Engineering with a minimum of 70% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply. In addition to this, candidates who have completed graduation in Arts or Science subjects along with 2 year Post Graduation in Environmental Sciences are also eligible. Upper age limit for general category candidates is 25 years. Those who are belonging to reserved categories can seek age relaxation up to 5 years.
