Eligibility Criteria for M.E (Biochemical Engineering & Biotechnology) in KIT’s College of Engineering, Kolhapur
Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology from any of the AICTE/MHRD is the educational qualification required. This qualification must be obtained in subjects of Chemical Engineering/Biotechnology or equivalent. Eligible candidate should have a valid score in GATE. Non GATE candidates must appear and qualify KIT’s M.E entrance test for Biochemical Engineering & Biotechnology. KIT’s M.E entrance test is conducted in objective model and is based on the following topics.

Fee Structure for M.E (Biochemical Engineering & Biotechnology) in KIT’s College of Engineering, Kolhapur
KIT’s College of Engineering affiliated to Shivaji University; Kolhapur follows the fee structure fixed by the University. Fee structure is different for open, OBC, and SC/ST candidates. First year fee for open category students is Rs. 69635/- including the tuition fee of Rs. 60500/-. Tuition fee for OBC candidates is Rs. 30250/- and their total fee is Rs. 37051/-. There is no tuition fee for SC/ST candidates. Second year total fee for general and OBC category candidates are Rs. 72405/- and Rs. 38071/- respectively. Tuition fee for these candidates are Rs. 64000/- and Rs.32000/- per annum.
Applications for joining M.E degree can be collected from the website of the institute. Application fee is Rs. 500/- for open category candidates and Rs.300/- for SC/ST category candidates. It can be paid in the form of DD payable at Kolhapur.
