National Power Training Institute (NPTI) offers various short term courses for engineering graduates interested to have a rewarding career in power industry. These courses are also suitable for executives from industry. Post Graduate Certificate Courses having duration of 12 weeks is given in subjects of Hydro Power Plant Engineering, Thermal Power Plant Engineering, and Power Management. Sponsored and non sponsored candidates can join to the course. Sponsored candidates must pay the total fee of Rs. 67,416/- (per candidate) where as non-sponsored candidates need to pay fee of Rs. 44,944/- (per candidate).

Post Graduate Certificate Course in Hydro Power Plant Engineering
Engineering graduates who are interested to make a career in power industry can opt for this course. Eligible candidate must have obtained B.E/B.Tech degree in any of the following subjects.
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Control & Instrumentation Engineering
- Power Engineering
Final year students holding the required eligibility can also apply. The course is also suitable for Junior or Middle level managers/officers/executives. They can acquire skills and good knowledge of Hydro Power Plant practices and thus to grab rewarding jobs in power sector. Concept of Modern Hydro Power Plant, basic principles of Hydro-mechanical equipments, Tariff Calculation, Instrumentation & Control, Simulator Training, etc are some of the topics covered under the course curriculum.
Post Graduate Certificate Course in Thermal Power Plant Engineering
Eligibility criteria and career prospects for this course is same as that of PG Certificate course in Hydro Power Plant Engineering. Course curriculum for these courses is slightly different with each other. Sponsored and non sponsored candidates can join to the course. Sponsored candidates must pay the total fee of Rs. 67,416/- (per candidate) where as non-sponsored candidates need to pay fee of Rs. 44,944/- (per candidate). Candidates opting hostel facility should pay an additional fee of Rs.10, 800/- (per candidate). Fee structure is same for all the three PG certificate courses mentioned above. Fee must be paid in the form of Demand Draft taken in favor of NPTI and it must be payable at Faridabad. Payment through ECS facility is also possible.

Engineering graduates in any subjects can go for Post Graduate Certificate Course in Power Management. This course helps candidates to enhance their technical skills along with managerial proficiency.
