Profile:

Subordinate Services Commission was re-designated as Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on 26th September, 1977. Making recruitment to Group C and Group B posts in departments of Government of India is the main responsibility of SSC. Nine regional/sub-regional offices located at different states of India consitutes the network of Staff Selection Commission. A Chairmen assisted by two members and a secretary or controller of Examination, heads the commission.

1. Recruitment for the post of Sr. Technical Assistant (Culture) (Research Associate (C)):
Eligibility: Master’s Degree in Anthropology from a recognized university with specialization in Cultural Anthropology.
Pay Scale (Rs): 9300 - 34800 + Grade Pay - Rs. 4200

2. Recruitment for the post of Sr. Technical Assistant (Physical) (Research Associate (C)):
Eligibility: aster’s Degree in Anthropology from a recognized university with specialization in Physical Anthropology.
Pay Scale (Rs): 9300 - 34800 + Grade Pay - Rs. 4200

3. Recruitment for the post of Editor:
Eligibility: Higher Secondary or equivalent from a recognized University or Insititute with an experience of 6 years in editing of films.
Pay Scale (Rs): 9300 - 34800 + Grade Pay - Rs. 4200

4. Recruitment for the post of Metrological Assistant:
Eligibility: Master’s Degree in Physics or in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Computer/Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university.
Pay Scale (Rs): 9300 - 34800 + Grade Pay - Rs. 4200

5. Recruitment for the post of Intelligence Officer:
Eligibility: Degree from a recognized university.
Pay Scale (Rs): 9300 - 34800 + Grade Pay - Rs. 4200

6. Recruitment for Post Graduate Teacher:
Eligibility: Master’s Degree in concerned subject from a recognized university.
Pay Scale (Rs): 9300 - 34800 + Grade Pay - Rs. 4200
