Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan as a Framework and As a Program

Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan has two characteristics:-

It gives a broad convergent structure for completing of Elementary Education methods.

The program looks into the growth of fundamental areas for attainment of the universal elementary education.

The Central rules the Indian education system with the support of State government. The knowledge system is decentralizes to the Panchayati Raj system to support the rural education. They come out with rules and the government has come out with the education system. The education systems become efficient only by adopting new technologies and facilities. This adoption is beneficial only through proper implementation. Rural education depends on the social, economical and religious beliefs. Certain other aspects are there which attests the rural education, like no proper understanding of civilians about the importance of education system, lack of proper facilities, broad distance between teacher –student ratio etc. The SSA will only be successful if the people are aware about the fact that education is an investment made for the entire life and is not for business purpose alone.

Education for all

Education for all

Rural education of India was earlier based on many of the social order based systems, principles, economic conditions of the country, spiritual practices and beliefs. This has limited the reach of education systems in most of these rural areas. There are certain other factors also like the lack of proper teaching facilities and corruption in the areas. Because of these issues, the rural education is not improved as expected. There are transformations which are happening with the activities of SSA. The new changes brought in by the SSA are expected to fix the faults of the pre-existing ones in the system.

Changes brought in by SSA in rural education

Technology is becoming an effective learning process in the education system through many different ways. One of the main impacts is the positive accecaptance of technology by the people. Rural education is also being improved with the help of technological advancements. The rural people are interested to make their children work in fields, rather than send them to schools. However, the educators identify how to make these people understand the value of education and thereby exposing the children to the education. For implementing this teachers will also have to help a hand and come out with new methods, which attract the families.

The basic duty of SSA is to provide better facilities to students in the areas like proper infrastructure, transport facility etc. By giving better facilities, the rural education can make progress. Other facilities are also being implemented, for example, LCD projectors are being provided for learning, practical classes, educational workshops and computers per rural areas all over the nation. By adopting these methods, the abilities, skills and exposure of the students are improved. This is beneficial for all students and for the development of the country.

Quality Issues in Elementary Education

The quality issues in the basic education uphold opportunity time, encouragement of educators, syllabus, observation, student’s assessment, practices in classrooms etc. This improvement of quality nourishment is a serious matter for the whole education system. Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan will make steps to come close to the quality education system in a complete holistic way. Curriculums are to be developed by updating latest methods of technology. This is effectively done by the SSA. Practical studies are more effective for the students.

Learning by practice or observation is very important. The students must also have opportunity to learn music, arts, and sports etc, which are equally important in the learning field. Performance analysis of every student is to be observed in consultation with the parents will be a beneficial steps. The educators have to play an important role in the preparation of study materials, textbooks etc. If there is a proper and effective syllabus structure, the rural institutes can adopt it for perfect functioning.

Both the state and central government syllabus following the same curriculum should be encouraged. For improving the quality system in education a support from resource people and institutions are essential. There are district plans, which adopts for a smooth and easy functioning. For improving the student’s efficiency, teachers should be given proper trained. Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan introduces teacher’s development programs for providing better learning opportunity to pupils. It also introduced an effective teacher-student proportion system.

Focus of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is proper implementation. Demand based activities are taken into consideration as primary needs of education, which develop the capabilities. The State and Central government maintain the funding activities. All the funds are collected for providing the needed materials, teacher development programs, trainings etc. Under the State government support, the scholarships and uniforms are also distributed. The fees cannot be collected from the rural people. The SSA is also lending a helpful hand for the students in that case also.
