Anna University conducts B.Tech Lateral Entry Examination to admit the eligible candidates to the seats reserved by the University. The candidate those who dream of becoming an Engineer even after they have completed a Diploma or Degree can appear for this examination. Candidates can get into the second year of the four years academic program through this examination. The allocation of students into different branches depends on the former field of study as well as the scores obtained through the lateral entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates should be of Indian origin and the candidates those who are residing in the state of Tamil Nadu are considered for the admission. The candidates those who hold a diploma in engineering which has been awarded by the State board of Technical Education are eligible to apply. The minimum marks that should be satisfied in order to appear for the examination is 60%. SC/ST candidates have a relaxation of 5%. The age of the candidate should fall below 28 years.

It should be sent along with the demand draft to the given address after filling it completely. Study Plan

First of all, create an effective and flexible study plan. Start studying the subjects as per the plans established. As there is no short cut to success the candidates have to prepare thoroughly for the forthcoming examinations. Concentrate on the tough portions first and then slowly move on to the other portions of the syllabus. Like wise cover all the prescribed topics for the examination. Keep separate time to work out Mathematical problems. Allot at least two hours a day for Mathematics in order to perform well in this particular subject. The candidate should be thorough with all the theory topics of Physics and Chemistry.
