Diploma holders who are wishing to do graduation in Pharmacy can join the second year of B.Tech in Biotechnology by means of the Lateral entry scheme. The students need to attempt thestate level entrance test to get admittance. The admission procedures will be carried out according to the terms and rules of the University.

• One should pass the Diploma exam from any recognized Board or a University.
• One should score at least 45% marks (40% in the case of students who belong to the reserved category) in any relevant branch of Engineering /Technology.

The admission into the B.Tech in Biotechnology lateral entry program is carried out on the basis of a personal interview and also an entrance test. The entrance test is carried out with a purpose of admitting aspirants into the B.Tech in Biotechnology course. The exam will be having time duration of 2 hours. The admission form could be collected from the Administrative Office of the concerned University or else Institute on a fee of Rs. 750/-.  Those who need the Admission Form by post have to send DD of Rs. 800/- in favor of the concerned University or else Institute.  The candidates can download from the university the application forms necessary.
