Annamalai University is a well known residential university of India. The University is situated in Annamalainagar. The University is spread over an area of around 1000 acres. It is one of the universities in India which offers postgraduate courses through distance education. The university also offers undergraduate courses. Among the UG courses offered by the university one is a Bachelor Degree in Computer Application (BCA). This degree course is of duration three years.

In the third year of the course there is a paper of Software Engineering. This subject forms an important part of the course. Software is an integral part of computer science. Designing of Software is a thing which every computer expert desires to know. The subject aims at providing this knowledge to the students. The exam of this paper is of duration of three hours with maximum marks 100. There are two sections in the paper. The first section has ten questions with a choice to answer any eight. The sub total of this section is 40. The questions carry 5 marks each. The second section consists of five questions with a choice to answer any three. Each question is of 20 marks. Thus the subtotal of this section is 60 marks.
