The number of B-Schools that are popping up in the country is large in number. The large numbers of candidates who opt for these courses generally keep in mind certain criteria’s while selecting the educational institutes in general.

There are various criteria’s which may be focused such as – institute, institute name, infrastructure facilities, course accreditation, courses offered, placement facilities etc. From among all these the placement record is an important aspect which most of the candidates take in to account. Why this is regarded as the significant factor? The answer being simple that the any person joins a particular course with the ultimate objective of reaching a good position in an organization. The main focus area will be regarding the future position that the candidate will get in to.

The popularity of the B-School is the most important criteria which in most cases wholly depend on the placement records of that institution. What ever be, higher the number of candidates placed higher will be the popularity of the institution. The candidates who get placed in reputed companies will be having higher amount of skills and abilities. The quality of the education being the predominant factor. The quality of the candidates in terms of the skills and level of knowledge is very important which will help them to get in to better career prospects.

The students when planning to join a particular course in a B-school the candidate should go for a thorough research regarding the placement possibilities in that institution. There may be a number of institutes within the country. Out of these, how many of these institutes are the top ones the candidates should realize it and select the top ones. They should not enter in to false claims. Normally, some of the students want to take MBA or join B-schools because of the reason of obtaining the degree. The candidates should not take decisions based on that reason.

The individuals needs to carefully examine the placement records of a particular institution while gaining admission in to a program. This is one of the dominant factors which should be emphasized. The major factor for joining a Post graduate program is with the single aim of getting higher job prospects. Hence the candidates should make decisions in accordance with their needs. The candidates should enquire about the various records of the placement activities that have been going on in that particular institution for a long period. The clear check has to be done regarding the various placement activities and the various companies that have been going in particular institutions.

The candidates should be in close contact with the senior candidates who have been studying there. The candidates should make sure whether the number of candidates who have been said placed is in actual or the figures have been manipulated. The clear picture must be ascertained to take a better decision. It should be analyzed – regarding what are the companies in various sectors which have come for campus placements and that too in which all domains or profiles.

The above statements should be understood because in recent times many false claims regarding the placements. The salary figures have also begun to scale up. Information regarding – the number of institutes that have come in an institutions, what is the percentage of students who get placed in various companies and what are the various posts in which the students get placed?

The candidates should think twice while taking a decision regarding the B-schools in which they need to take admission for further studies. This fact can be ignored if the candidates take the masters degree simply for attaining a degree not taken with the objective of a job in a reputed organization. For example, there may be candidates who start as entrepreneurs etc. But the best thing would be to join a job after the studies and gain some experience in the relevant field and venture in to some new projects.

If a particular institute is not giving in benefits which are expected off, then there is no point in going for a course. In general the MBA studies involve huge amount of investments. Hence maximum benefits should be attained from it if you are really venturing in to it. There may certain colleges which come under some of the major universities in the state which offer the courses having the fees in a reasonable way.

Infrastructure facilities also play a dominant role. The candidates should enquire about the quality of the facilities because if at all you are making a compromise in the institute at least the quality of the education should be good which will in turn help in attaining good job positions. It should be ensured that the institution employs full time faculties who impart knowledge in a good way. Regarding all the important aspects the candidates must ask the senior students about all the important aspects regarding the institute in which they plan to enter.

It’s a usually seen the candidates take an education loan for their higher studies. Lot of banks has come about with student loans with various schemes. The candidates will be paid the entire amount of loan which the students can repay within a certain period after they get in to a job position. If at all the candidates are compromising on the institute, they should not take extra risk by opting an education loan. This is because of the fact that the general scenario or the job market is always unpredictable. If by any chance they are not able to get in to good job positions then they will be in a risky state.

There is always a need for an extra effort from the part of the candidates to get in to reputed institutions. Even though every candidate cannot get in to top B-schools like IIMs etc but they can get in to a reasonable good one which will fetch them average benefits. Hence, the candidates should keep in mind all the above points while selecting the institutes and should not fall in false claims.
