Mahindra Satyam, leading technology company in Information Technology industry, conducts campus recruitment in a three stage process. They are the screening test, technical interview and HR interview. Engineering graduates with first class marks with no back papers are eligible to apply.  Candidate’s aptitude ability and subject knowledge will be measured in the written test. Questions will be asked from quantitative aptitude, technical sections, english language usage, and from latest updates in IT industry. Candidates who are shortlisted after the screening test will be called for technical interview as well as HR interview.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates with a minimum of 60% of aggregate marks in Bachelor of Technology with no backlogs at the time of admission are eligible to apply. There should not be any break in the academics for more than one year. Candidates who have completed their studies in regular/ full time programme are only eligible to apply. Candidates should complete minimum 18 years and not be more than 23 years of age while applying.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be selected on the basis of composite score obtained in the screening test and interview. Screening test is generally conducted in online mode. There will be 90 questions to answer. Out of these, 35 questions are from verbal reasoning, 10 questions from English language and comprehension, 35 questions from Quantitative aptitude, and 10 questions from academics. Maximum time limit for the entire test is one hour. There will be sectional cut off; hence candidates are advised to manage their time for every section. There will be no negative marks for wrong answers. Thorough preparation is essential to qualify the screening test with good marks. Candidates can refer previous questions available from the internet to practice.

Successful candidates will be shortlisted for the interview. Questions will be asked to judge the subject knowledge and problem solving skill of candidate in technical interview. Technical interview normally has duration of 30 to 45 minutes. Candidates can expect questions from academics, internship projects, and area of interest, problems to solve instantly and recent updates in IT industry.

HR interview is conducted to analyze the behavioral approach, level of confidence and attitude of the candidate. Candidate’s communication skill and other soft skills are measured in this interview.   Candidates are required to prepare their resume in the best form available since it is very significant for the selection process. Candidates require good preparation so as to face interviews.

    i have got 10th 68% 12th 57% and b.tech(IT) 7/10 cgpa but as you may notice my 12th % is bellow 60 and company keeps a cutoff of 60% above throughout except the black spot of my 12th marks my profile is one of the best in college with great govt projects and internship.. what can be done and can i first join a 3 tire company and then go to better company will then after experience not ask for 60% above throughout….. I am still going to prepare for gate but can i get job in good company or after doing in a small company shift in better It company…..thanks in advance for your valuable time and suggestion
