Commercial Tax Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, etc… - APPSC
Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission like any other public service commissions operating from different states in India is responsible for conducting recruitment examination for various government job positions arising in the state of AP. In the year 2006, the then Chief Minister of the state Mr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy inaugurated the four-storied building called Prathibha Bhavan for housing the office of the commission.
Recruitment by Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission:
Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has invited for online applications from eligible candidates for the various positions to work different departments of the government of AP. The online application will be made available on the website of APPSC from 9th of December to 8th of January 2011.
Name of the Vacancies: Commercial Tax Officers in A.P. Commercial Taxes Service, Deputy Supdt. of Police (Civil) Cat-2 in A.P. Police Service, Deputy Supdt. of Jails (MEN) in A.P. Jail Service, Divisional Fire Officers in Fire & Emergency Services and District Registrar in A.P. Registration and Stamps Service
Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 25, which is divided among the positions mentioned above as follows:
1. Commercial Tax Officers in A.P. Commercial Taxes Service - 01
2. Deputy Supdt. of Police (Civil) Cat-2 in A.P. Police Service - 05
3. Deputy Supdt. of Jails (MEN) in A.P. Jail Service - 04
4. Divisional Fire Officers in Fire & Emergency Services - 10
5. District Registrar in A.P. Registration and Stamps Service - 05

Pay Scale: For positions 1-3 mentioned above, candidates will be coming under the pay of Rs.20680-46960, while for the other two positions, pay will be Rs.19050-45850.
Eligibility requirements:
Educational Qualification: For all positions except Divisional Fire Officers in Fire & Emergency Services, candidates must be UG Degree holders from the recognized university incorporated in India under Central Act or state act or provincial act from or an institution recognized by the University Grants Commission or its equivalent qualification. For Divisional Fire Officers in Fire & Emergency Services, candidates must have completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Fire.

Age: Minimum age limit to apply for positions 1 and 5 is 18 years and the maximum age requirement is 34 years, for position number 2 it is 21 and 28 years, for position 3, it is 18 and 28, while for position 4, it is between 21 and 26 years as on the 1st of July 2011. Mode of selection:
For both positions, candidates will be selected based on the marks secured by them in the written examination, which should be taken up only by the candidates fulfilling the eligibility requirements. Application fee:
Application processing fee of Rs.100 should be paid by all candidates and candidates who are not exempted from payment of fee will have to pay Rs.120 towards examination fee. Candidates will have to log on to the website of www.apspsc.gov.in and should enter all personal details and after filling up the details, they will get downloadable challan form, which should be used for payment of fee through AP online centres or SBI. Last date for payment of application fee is 06th of January 2012.
How to apply:
Online application should be submitted by the interested candidates through the website of APPSC at www.apspsc.gov.in from 09th of December 2011 to 08th of January 2012.
