Union Public Service Commission is a government organization oftenly abbreviated as UPSC. The commission is located at Shah Jahan Road, New Delhi. The first Public Service Commission was set up in the year 1926 as per the demands of Indian Politicians. The commission was set up by the thgen British Indian Government. But due to some of its limitation, the British Indian Government the set up a Federal Public Service Commission. The commission is mainly responsible to conduct competitive examination for making recruitment to services & posts under the Union.

Job Profile:

Union Public Service Commission is looking forward to make recruitment of eligible Indian Citizens on the following position of Deputy Legal Advisor through the conduct of competitive examination and interviw test. Candidates will be recruited under Grade-III of Indian legal Service Cadre of Legal Advisers, Ministry of law and Justice, Department of Legal Affairs.

Eligibility:

Candidate’s age should not exceed the maximum age limit i.e. 50 years as on the closing date of application i.e. 22 September 2011. The maximum age limit is relaxable by 5 years for the candidates belonging to Scheduled caste and Scheduled Tribves categories. OBC category candidates will get relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates are required to possess Degree in Law from a recognized university or equivalent. Candidates must also possess atleast 10 years of experience in the relevant field. Candidates, not having the prescribed educational qualification and experience, should not apply for the specified post in Ministry of law and Justice, Department of Legal Affairs.

Vacancies available for General category candidates: 8 posts.
Vacancies available for SC category candidates: 1 post.
Vacancies available for OBC category candidates: 2 posts.
Vacancies available for PH category candidates: 1 post.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 7600.

Application Fee:

An application fee of Rs. 100 is need to be submitted by eligible General and OBC categories candidates. No fee is to be submitted by SC/ST candidates. The application fee must be paid in cash only at the cash counter of any branch office of Life Insurance Corporation of India under Account Code- 114034.

How to apply: Completed application form in the prescribed format should be sent alongwith the other required enclosures. All the required enclosures must be sent in an envelope only. The envelope should be superscribed with SPL/ADVT NO. 50/2011. The address to which the completed application form must be sent is given below:
