The Times of India has come with an initiative of “Times Scholarship program” with an objective to recognize the hidden talents of young students. 12th class is the main qualification required to apply for this program. Candidates must attend an online test as part of the selection process of this program. GK, Verbal and Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability etc are some of the subject areas to be focused for the online test.  A discussion with a panel of experts along with a P.I will be part of last selection steps.

Eligibility Criteria

Only those students who are studying 12th class in any recognized schools in the country can take part in this scholarship program. It is compulsory for candidates to have a good academic record so as to apply for this scholarship program.

Selection Process

A detailed selection procedure is followed to find out the top 20 student awardees for Times Scholarship program. 2 months will be the total time taken to complete the selection process in this area. The selection process consist of 3 different stages which is as follows –

Stage 1 – In this stage, an initial screening of the application forms submitted by candidates takes place. It is compulsory for candidates to complete the application forms by including all specific details. A panel of experts is appointed to decide the final list of short listed candidates to be published in the official website.

Stage 2 – It is mandatory for candidates to attend a selection test in this stage. Candidates should take up an online test for 120 minutes as part of selection. 110 objective type questions will be included in this test. Candidate’s knowledge in the following subject areas like Verbal reasoning, Numerical ability, General Knowledge, Logical reasoning etc will be evaluated in this test.

Stage 3 – Candidates who are able to qualify the selection test need to appear for a discussion with the eminent panel of judges. Personal Interview will also form part of this stage.

Stage 4 – A final list of top 100 candidates will be published in this stage. Candidates who are included in the final list need to undergo a Group Discussion. On clearing this level Personal Interview will also be conducted.

Application Procedure

In order to take part in this scholarship program, candidates must submit applications via online. It is necessary to log in to the official website www.timesscholars.com to submit application forms accurately. Candidates must fill in details in the application form clearly as this form cannot be resubmitted or edited.

Purpose of Times Scholarship for Class XII students

This scholarship program proposal is initiated by “The Times of India” with an objective to find out the best young talents in the country. Times Scholarship program is initiated for a time period of 4 years (until the graduation stage of the students). This scholarship is awarded to students as cash scholarships. The selected top 20 candidates are given a scholarship amount of Rs 5,00,000/- each. The scholarship amount will be transferred to the selected students parents or guardians account specifically in four different installment schemes every year. Apart from this, another selected 80 students will be given a special mention scholarship amounting to 5000/-.
