Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce (SGGSCC) offers diploma courses like Diploma in Business Journalism and Corporate Communication (DBJCC) and Post Graduate Diploma in International Marketing (PGDIM).  Admissions are done on the basis of Entrance Test, Interview and Group Discussion conducted by the college. Entrance test comprise questions on business awareness, quantitative ability & logical reasoning, general knowledge and current affairs.

Course Content for Diploma in Business Journalism and Corporate Communication (DBJCC)

First Semester Course Contents:

  • Information Technology & Cyber Journalism
  • Print & Electronic Media
  • Communication & Business Communication
  • Financial System & Analysis
  • Indian Business Environment

Second Semester Course Contents:

  • PR & Corporate Communication
  • Reporting & Editing Theory & Process
  • Global Information Scenario
  • Advertising & Marketing
  • Project Report

Candidates are required to do internships in various fields as a part of course.

Admission process for Diploma in Business Journalism and Corporate Communication (DBJCC)

Admissions are done on the basis of Entrance Test, Group Discussion, and Interview. A weightage of 80% is given for the entrance test, 10% weightage for GD and rest for interview. Duration of entrance test will be 2 hours which include objective type questions on economics & business awareness, quantitative ability & logical reasoning (weightage of 30%), general knowledge & current affairs, general English (weightage of 20%). Courses are conducted on 2 year semester basis with nine papers and a project report.

First Semester Course Contents:

  • International Business Environment

Second Semester Course Contents:

  • Marketing Research
  • International Logistics
  • International Trade Operations
  • Economic Environment & Policy
  • Project Report

The placement cell of Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce (SGGSCC) will provide placement opportunities to students.

Admission process for Post Graduate Diploma in International Marketing (PGDIM)

Admission process includes, Entrance Test with a weightage of 70%, Interview with a weightage of 15%, Group discussion with a weightage of 15%. Duration of Entrance Test will be 2 hours which include objective type questions of economic & business awareness, general English, quantitative ability & logical reasoning (equal weightage are given for each). Courses are conducted on 2 year semester basis with nine papers and a project report.

Application forms can be obtained from the college and should be duly filled in and submitted within the prescribed date. Detailed information will be given in the application form regarding age restriction, mode of fee payment and documents to be submitted for admission process. Eligible candidates for admission must contact in person the College Admission Committee for payment of fee and completion of formalities. Any failure in this will lead to the cancellation of admission of the particular student. All admitted students should follow the rules and regulations of University of Delhi and SGGSCC
