Eligibility Criteria
The basic eligibility requirement for the diploma in electrical engineering is that the candidate must pass class 10. Course Outlook
Diploma in electrical engineering is a 3 year course offered in various polytechnic colleges of India. The syllabus is split into 6 parts, examination being taken every November/ December and May/ June. In this course duration students are evaluated on the basis of practical examination as well as theoretical examination held every six months. Marks are given on basis of Continuous Formative Assessment and End Semester Examination. A Diploma holder can further go for B.tech and then M.tech degree in Electrical Engineering.
Job Prospects
There are lucrative job prospect available for an electrical engineer with diploma degree. They are appointed in Power plants for installation, up gradation and maintenance of the instruments, in railways and shipping sector and in commodity goods sector where they can apply their available practical to complete the job.
