Dravidian University conducts an admission process for admission to its various PhD. Programmes. Dravidian University was formed through an initiative of Andhra Pradesh Government along with the cooperation of Government of other Southern states which include Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. The primary objective of the University was to unite the major Dravidian languages speaking population in the south from different states.

The University has been established with the motive of providing an elite class of education to candidates who belong to the Dravidian section. The University has retained a respectful position in the South and is always considered as the first choice by most of the candidates during admission. The Entrance Test conducted by the University is held in different cities across the nation.

Dravidian University was established in 1997 through an act of legislature and has been granted permission by UGC to conduct several Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research Programmes. For admission to PhD/M.Phil programmes of Dravidian university candidates have to apply through an application form. Candidates are selected in these programmes through an entrance test and interview conducted at the university. On Campus stay is compulsory for students. The University primarily aims at developing a ambiance in which these Dravidian based Candidates can excel and obtain education which of quality as well as excellence. Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates should have a MA in the respective language/discipline with a minimum aggregate of 55%. For Education candidate should have done MA as well as M.Ed with atleast 55% aggregate in both the qualifications. Candidates who belong to reservation categories as well as from the defense background are offered relaxation in the above eligibility criterion.

Candidates can obtain the application form directly from the university campus or download it through the university website www.dravidianuniversity.ac.in. The details regarding the application procedure will be available with the admission notification. Candidates can also earn the application form through post for which they have to forward a requisite letter along with a DD, drawn in favor of the Registrar of the Institute and have to also send a stamp of minimal value.
