Essentials Details on IGRUA CPL Course
The Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA) has issued notification for admission to Commercial Pilot License Course (CPL Course). Admission to this course is made through written test, interview, and psychometric test. Application for attending the written test can be submitted till 15th October 2013.
Eligibility Criteria for IGRUA CPL Course
Pass in HSC is the minimum qualification required. This course must be completed with Mathematics, Physics, and English as subjects. General category candidates must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Mathematics and Physics. SC/ST/OBC category candidates must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Mathematics and Physics. The maximum age limit of the aspirant is 17 years at the time of joining.
Selection Process for IGRUA CPL Course
The selection of eligible candidates to CPL course is done on the basis of a three stage process.
- Written Test
- Viva/Interview
- Pilot Aptitude/Psychometric Test
The written test comprises of objective model questions of 12th class level. Questions are based on the following subjects.
- Current Affairs
- General English
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Reasoning
Candidates qualified in written test are short listed for viva/interview. The number of candidates short listed will be three times of the total number of available seats. The cut off marks required for SC/ST candidates is 5% less than the marks obtained by the last candidate in general category. In case, if SC/ST/OBC candidates are not qualified in written test, even after giving 5% relaxation in written test, then that seats will be de-reserved for general category candidates. At the time of interview, candidate must produce photocopies of the following documents.
- 10th Mark sheet
- 12th class mark sheet
- A Certificate from the competent authority proving that the OBC candidate does not belong to creamy layer
- Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC Candidates
Final stage of selection process is Pilot Aptitude / Psychometric Test. Those who qualify this stage should submit medical fitness certificate before joining.
Fee Details for IGRUA CPL Course
Training fee for pursuing the course is Rs. 32.5 Lakhs along with applicable taxes (at the rate of 12.36% at present). This must be payable in four quarterly installments. The cost for Navigation Computer, Uniform, Study Material, Head Phones, DGCA Examination and License fee will be around Rs. 1 lakhs. Charges for messing and hostel accommodation is approximately Rs. 8000/- per month.
Application Process for IGRUA CPL Course
The application form for CPL course can be downloaded from the website of IGRUA. Filled up application form must be submitted along with application fee and one passport size photograph. Application fee of Rs. 6000/- must be submitted in the form of DD, taken in favor of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi and payable at Raebareli.
