IGRUA 2011 Ab-initio to CPL
Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi(IGRUA) conducts an admission process for admission in its Ab-Initio to CPL Course which is a 15 months course after which a candidate can get Commercial Pilot License(CPL). IGRUA is a premier aviation academy under Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India. Academy has a very good infrastructure with the most modern and sophisticated trainer aircrafts and highly skilled training staff for flying training. IGRUA was established in 1985 and since then is the most reputed flying school of India.
IGRUA is located in Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh. IGRUA conducts a written test for short listing candidates for further rounds which include Pilot Aptitude Training and an Interview. Only those who clear the written test can appear for the Pilot Aptitude Test & interview. Written Test is conducted at the following centers: Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, & Lucknow.
Eligibility criteria:
The candidate should have passed 10+2 level or an equivalent examination with atleast 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/OBC) in Physics & Mathematics each and a pass in English. Also a candidate should be atleast 17 years of age at the time of starting of course.
How to Apply:
Candidates have to send the application form downloaded through the websitewww.igrua.gov.in along with the required documents, demand draft and three self-attested recent passport sized photographs.

Last Date for receipt of completed application forms: First Week of April, 2011
Written Test: Mid Week of May, 2011
Announcement of Written Test Results: Last week of May, 2011
Pilot Aptitude Test: First week of June, 2011 onwards for Delhi & neighbouring States candidates
Pilot Aptitude Test: Last week of June, 2011 onwards for all other candidates
Interview: First week of Septmeber, 2011 onwards
Selection Procedure:
Written Test containing objective type questions from General English, Maths, Physics & Reasoning of Class 10+2 level. The shortlisted candidates from written test are called for Pilot Aptitude Test(WOMBAT). Finally Interview/Viva of candidates selected in Pilot Aptitude Test is conducted.
