Admission to most of the courses in Aliah University is carried out on the basis of Aliah University Admission Test (AUAT). Exam pattern and syllabus differ slightly with courses. Questions on General Knowledge, Islamic Studies and English language are common for all subjects. Total time allotted for the completion of the test is 4 hours.

Exam Pattern for Aliah University Admission Test (AUAT)

Exam pattern for AUAT may vary with courses. Courses offered at Aliah University can be clustered under three groups Group A, Group B and Group C. Exam pattern for each of these groups differ slightly.

In general there will be two papers for the test, Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is of one hour duration and there will be questions on General Knowledge, Islamic Studies and English language. Grammar and comprehension and vocabularies at 10 + 2 level form the syllabus for English language. In GK section, there will be questions on General Science, Political Science, History and Current Affairs. Basics of Islamic History and Culture will be asked for the Islamic Studies.

Paper II will be conducted in three hours time duration. For Group A, there will be questions on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the proportion of 1:1:2. Paper II for Group B (except MBA) and Group C (except MJMC) comprises questions from the concerned subject area only. In case of MBA and MJMC, Paper II covers questions on mathematics fundamentals, verbal and nonverbal reasoning and basics from the concerned subject area.

Eligible candidates can apply for AUAT through the web portal of Aliah University. Applications are usually invited at the beginning of every academic year.
