Re: Am i eligible to write UPSC entrance with Diploma qualification?
UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission. UPSC conducts various entrance examinations like IAS, IPS, IES, CDS, etc., for recruitment of candidates to different government departments. The minimum educational qualification required to appear in most of the UPSC examinations is completion of Graduation in any stream from a recognised university. But, some of the UPSC examinations like NDA requires 12th standard as the minimum education qualification. So, I suggest you to check the respective post notification before applying for UPSC examination.

Re: Am i eligible to write UPSC entrance with Diploma qualification?
No, Diploma qualified candidates are not eligible to appear in UPSC based Examinations. The basic educational qualification required to be eligible for appearing in UPSC Examinations is either "12th Class" or Graduation from a recognized university. UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) is an examination conducting agency which conduct several recruitment for filling up several posts. The minimum educational qualification required for some posts is just "12th Class" and for some posts "Graduate Degree" from a recognized university. So Diploma candidates are not eligible to appear in UPSC examination as Diploma is not equivalent to Graduation or 12th Class. Hence, I suggest you to do B.E/ B.Tech in Automobile Engineering in order to be eligible for appearing in UPSC Examination. As you have already completed Diploma course in Automobile Engineering, I suggest you to pursue 3 more years in order to complete Bachelor Degree which is the basic educational qualification for Civil Services Preliminary, Mains, Combined Defence Services and Indian Forest Services Examination.

Re: Am i eligible to write UPSC entrance with Diploma qualification?
It, is tough to give you eligibility to appear for all examinations conducted by UPSC. As, UPSC conducts many examination for recruitment of candidates in different jobs.
Some of examinations are NDA, CSE , IES, IFS, etc... The minimum eligibility to appear for all these examinations other than NDA is graduation degree. So diploma candidates are not eligible to appear for this examination. Candidates passed diploma are eligible to appear for NDA examination if there is between 16.5-19.5 years, but only male candidates are eligible to appear in NDA examination. Re: Am i eligible to write UPSC entrance with Diploma qualification?
Yes, you are eligible to appear for UPSC exams. But before applying for UPSC exams, one must check the eligibility criteria. As you have done your diploma, the class 12 exam is equivalent to diploma course. So, the exams which have the eligibility criteria of class 12 are the one you can apply for. One of the exam is National defence exam (NDA).

Re: Am i eligible to write UPSC entrance with Diploma qualification?
You can apply only for exams like UPSC SCRA if you are a diploma holder in automobile engineering. Other than this exam there isn't any UPSC exam for you according to your qualification.
Hence, if you are looking for SCRA then surely you can apply but if you are looking UPSC engineering services exam or civil services exam then you are not eligible. |
