Can I get Lateral Entry in B.Arch if pursuing Diploma in Mechanical Engineering?


Sir, I am studying in 2nd year of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. I want to join B.Arch course instead of B.Tech. I am studying Diploma in a regular mode so I am eligible to get lateral entry in B.Arch or not?

No, you are not eligible to get lateral entry admission in B.Arch course after completion of your Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. No lateral entry admissions are offered in B.Arch course. Admissions in B.Arch course are done through National Aptitude Test in Engineering (NATA). You have to appear in NATA examination, qualify and participate in the counselling process according to your examination rank to get admission for pursuing B.Arch course.
