Is polytechnic equivalent to intermediate? I am from Himachal and I want to participate in government test. I have only three diploma in computer science after 10th. Can I participate on intermediate level?

Yes, polytechnic is equivalent to Intermediate level. Both these courses can be pursued after completion of your 10th standard. The duration of Intermediate course is 2 years and polytechnic course is 3 years. The polytechnic course has more value and job opportunities when compared to Intermediate course. But, before applying for the test make sure that you contact the respective examination authority and verify whether Diploma holders are eligible or not to apply for the examination.
