Hi Sir/Mam,

I am a diploma holder I completed diploma mechanical so I hope I interest BE after I take EC its is possible? What would be the minimum eligibility criteria required for applying for the course? Can someone please provide me the complete information on the same?

No, you are not eligible to pursue B.E (Electronics and Communication) course after completion of your three years Diploma course in Mechanical Engineering. Only candidates who have completed 12th standard with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects or three years Diploma course in Electronics and Communication Engineering are eligible to pursue B.E (Electronics and Communication). Since, you have completed your three years Diploma course in Mechanical Engineering, you are not eligible to pursue B.E (Electronics and Communication) course.

No, diploma in Mechanical Engineering candidates are not eligible for B.Tech/B.E in ECE.

Those candidates who have completed diploma in ECE from a recognized university are eligible for B.Tech in ECE.

Your age should be above 17 years.

Yes, of course you are eligible to apply for B.E in ECE course after completing Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Once, after completing Diploma in Mechanical Engineering you can pursue for B.E in ECE through Lateral Entry. Diploma Holders or B.Sc Graduates are directly eligible for 2nd year B.E/B.Tech course.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

The applicant must have passed Diploma course in concerned specialization from AICTE approved Institution. Only Diploma in Engineering and B.Sc candidates may apply for lateral entry.
