The qualification needed to apply for Diploma course is completion of 10th standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. To get admission in Diploma course, you have to appear in Polytechnic entrance examination conducted by your respective state technical board of education or university. If you qualify the entrance examination, you will be called for counselling process and you will be allotted a seat in a particular college for pursuing Diploma course.

To be eligible to get admission for pursuing Diploma course, the qualification needed is completion of 10th standard or an equivalent examination with at least 60% aggregate marks from a recognized board. Candidates who have passed 12th standard or two years ITI course from a recognized board/ institution are eligible to get lateral entry admission for pursuing Diploma course.

The minimum qualification to apply for diploma courses in 10th standard from a recognized board with minimum 35% - 40% marks. However, there are some courses where 12th qualification is mandatory.

With this qualification you have to appear for an entrance examination conducted by the respective institute. The selection of the candidates will depend upon the marks secured in the examination and the marks secured in 10th standard.

The qualification required for diploma course is a pass in 10th standard examinations with subjects like mathematics, English and science. The state boards of technical education of most of the states conduct entrance examinations for admission to the diploma courses. The courses are offered by various polytechnic colleges. There are various streams available in the diploma course like mechanical, computer science, electrical, electronics and communication, civil, aeronautical, textile technology etc. The duration of the diploma course is three years.

The minimum qualification which is needed to join diploma course is 10th standard from a recognised board with minimum 50% marks and to get admission in government college you have to appear in the entrance exam that is conducted by the respective University.

You have to appear in Polytechnic Common Entrance Test.

You can also get admission through management quota seat on the basis of money donation and percentage of 10th standard.

Educational Qualification required to apply for Diploma Course:

There is a certain eligibility criteria that is to be followed in order to pursue Diploma or Polytechnic Entrance Examination. So, you are required to meet the below mentioned criteria.

>> The basic educational qualification required to pursue this Diploma course is "10th Class" from a recognized board/ institute.

>> You must have completed 10th Class with minimum 60% marks in order to be eligible.

>> Besides having 10th Class as an educational qualification, you are required to appear in Diploma Entrance Examination in order to be eligible.

>> Candidates from 12th Class background can also apply for doing Diploma course but years may be wasted but candidates who have completed their 10th Class are highly recommended to do this Diploma course.
