Can I apply for Merit Cum Means Scholarship if already taken an education loan?


Hello sir, I am studying MBA from a private college and I have taken an education loan a sum of 4 lakh. Can I apply for Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses?

Yes, why not, you can definitely apply for " Merit cum means Scholarship" even if you have taken education loan for MBA. Education loan has nothing to do with scholarship. The one important criteria for "merit cum means scholarship is that you must not be availing any other scholarship".

When you will apply for "Merit cum means Scholarship", you will have to give an undertaking that you are not getting scholarship through any other means for this course. The clause mentions scholarship not education loan. You can repay your education loan through scholarship.
