Hi Sir,

The interest rate charged by SBI for education loan is decided by Reserve Bank of India. However, SBI offers 1% lesser interest rate as compared to other banks with stricter education loan terms and conditions. The rate of interest fluctuates from time to time as per the orders from Reserve Bank of India. For SBI, the rate of interest fluctuates between 12-13.5 percent per annum. The interest is accounted as simple interest for the entire study period.
