Hello,
The Income Tax exam is conducted by SSC(Staff Selection Commission). The exam is held once in a year. Eligibility To become an Income tax officer * Candidates should have age limit must be within 18 to 25 years. * Candidates should complete graduation from a recognized university. * The exam is of three types Preliminary exam, Main Exam, Interview. * Exam subjects are General Intelligence,Arithmetical Ability,General English. If you have certain eligibility and if you passed the examination then you will become an Income tax officer. Best wishes |

Well recruitment to Income Tax Department is mainly based on SSC (staff Selection Commission). SSC conducts a Written test, GD and PI. Only through SSC exam you can be Income tax officer. The exam is conducted every year & the pattern of this exam is objective type questions. the question consist of reasoning, maths, English etc. After written exam you will be called for Interview, then you will be selected. thanks |

Income Tax Officer Exam is conducted by SSC to recruit the Income Tax Officer. However,there are some Eligibility criteria such as: 1.Qualification: a)you should have any degree of a recognized University, or equivalent. as you have done graduation in B.Com ,so you are positively eligible. 2.Age: a:Your age should not be not less than 18 years and not greater than 27 years on the first July of the year of examination b) The age limit for the posts of Inspector of Income Tax, is 18-27 3.Physical Standards (Minimum) a)Height :157.5cm b)Chest :81cm ,fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cm c)Physical Test: i)Walking:1600 meters in 15 minutes ii)Cycling:8 Km in 30 minutes 4.Application form: a)Application form will be available from February every year at SSC official website at http://www.ssconline.nic.in. 5.Selection Procedure: a)There will be a Written Examination of all objective type questions. b)Then an Personal Interview for for qualified students in the Written Test. 6.Syllabus: a)General Intelligence:It consists of your ability of reasoning ,how much you can analysis a problem. b)General English: It consists English Language and will be based on error recognition, fill in the blanks using verbs, preposition, articles etc, vocabulary, spellings, Grammar, sentence-structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, sentence completion, phrases and idiomatic use of words etc c)Arithmetical Ability: It consists of problems relating to number systems, Computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions,percentages, ratio and proportions, averages, interest, profit & loss, use of tables and graphs, mensuration, time & distance, ratio and time etc d)General Awareness: It consists of the general awareness of the environment around you and its application to society, knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect . Introduction
The Staff Selection Commission (S.S.C.) conducts this examination every year for recruitment to the following posts: Inspectors' of Central Excise in different Collectorates of Central Excise. Examiner (Ordinary Grade) in Custom House at Mumbai, Calcutta, Goa, Cochin, Chennai and Vishakhapatnam. Preventive Officer (Ordinary Grade) in Custom Houses at Mumbai, Calcutta, Goa, Cochin, Chennai and Vishakhapatnam. Inspector of Income Tax in different charges of the Commissioner of Income-Tax. Assistant Enforcement Officers in the Directorate of Enforcement (FERA). The examination is held once a year, generally in the month of April. Blank application forms and other particulars are usually published in the Employment News in November of last year. The last date for the submission of application is usually the last week of December of last year. Eligibility Age: A candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on the first July of the year of examination. The upper age limit is relaxable in respect of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes Other Backward Classes, Departmental candidates and such other categories of persons as may be decided from time to time. Educational Qualifications: A candidate must hold degree of a recognized University, or equivalent. Scheme Of The Examination The examination comprises: Written Examination in subjects set out as follows Interview for Personality Test for such candidates as may qualify in the Written Test.
