SIR, i have completed my graduation course through MUMBAI UNIVERSITY by 1stclass; 68%. now i just want to get admission in IMA or OTA. so, from were to collect the forms. pls jst suggest me the entire procedure to get admission there.

Hi sir,myself Pankaj Thakur.i want to know whether i am eligible to write entrance exams for OTA and IMA. After 10th ,i did diploma from ECE with 79% and now doing engineering in Telecommunication, presently in 7th semester with 6.8 cgpa. Please Sir/Madam give me some information,if i am eligible or not. Hi everyone ... i'm looking for some help... it's a simple query basically...
i have just now checked online my application status for the CDS (II) 2011 exam to be conducted on 18th spetember ( My birthday :P) ... anyways.. the form states that i have three exams of ENGLISH, GK, and ELEMENTARY MATHS...however i've read that for the OTA you only need ENGLISH and GK... My Question is do i have to give all the three exams ... or only ENGLISH and GK ones ?? I'd appreciate the help as i havent studied maths in 6 months or so... so i'd have get to it :P |

hello Sir , my name is Pankaj Bhatt, i have just given my Bsc(mathematics) in the month of may this year. And i had physics, chemistry, and mathematics subjects in my class 12. My date of birth is 19/10/1987. So sir ,i want to know that am i eligible to appear for cds I of 2012 through cds or ota?

koi kehta hai ota ke liye mximum age 25 honi chayie..koi kehta hai 23...koi kehta hai 24....ek final btao saalo...if u dont believe me so read above comments...member ban ban ke baithe ho senior....if have the guts so give rply of this comment; dont avoid or ignored.....!!!

The recruitment is for following post: -
Indian Military Academy (IMA), Officers Training Academy(OTA), Naval Academy(NA) and Air Force Academy(AFA). Eligibility criteria :- For IMA and OTA you must have degree in any discipline from recognized University. Age must be in between 19 yrs to 24 years. Selection of student in IMA and OTA is on the basis of following exam.. Written Test Intelligence & Personality test Medical test. Syllabus :- - For OTA exam :- All the two papers are of objective type containing the English General Knowledge Each paper consists of 100 marks. Total 200 marks - For IMA exam :- All the three papers are of objective type containing the English General Knowledge Elementary Mathematics Each paper consist 100 marks. elgibilty for ota and ima there are rwo difference in both.ima indian military academy. graduate 50 %age 19 to 23 u have to write all three paper math,english,general awareness but in ota officer training academy math paper is not compulsory and age upto 25 years

You are not eligible for OTA/IMA with 12th class.This OTA and IMA is the part of CDS exam.This exam is conducted by upsc every year twice.
Eligibility for CDS examination: Educational Qualifications: For IMA /OTA : A degree from a recognized University or equivalent. For Naval Academy: B.Sc. with Physics and/or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering. For Air Force Academy: B.Sc. of a recognized University or equivalent with Physics and/or Mathematics as subjects or Bachelor of Engineering. Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam is generally conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) to recuirt the Indian Military Academy(IMA), Officers Training Academy(OTA), Naval Academy and Air Force Academy(AFA) According to the Eligibility Criteria: i)For IMA and OTA you must have any degree from any recognized University. ii)For Naval Academy you should have B.Sc in Physics or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering(BE). iii)For (AFA) you should have the degree of recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering(BE) Age Limit: i)For IMA:19-24 Years ii)For OTA:19-23 Years iii)For Naval Academy:19-22 Years iv)For AFA :19-25 Years They select the students through the i) Written Test ii)Intelligence & Personality test iii)Medical test. Exam Pattern i) Written Test for IMA / Naval Academy / AFA All the three papers are of objective type containing the English General Knowledge Elementary Mathematics total 300 marks,each paper 100 marks. for OTA All the two papers are of objective type containing the English General Knowledge total 200 marks,each paper of 100 marks. ii)Intelligence & Personality test :Generally here checks the Personality of the candidate,GD,group planning, physical fitness test, interview, small lectures on general issues & psychological tests. etc... iii)Medical test. To join for this you have to apply for CDS(combined defence services) exam which is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service commission) * Candidates should be the citizen of India. * Candidates should be the graduate form a recognized university * Candidates for OTA should have the age limit within 19-24 years * Candidates for OTA can be either married or unmarried. * candidates for IMA should have the age limit within 19-23 years * candidates for IMA should be unmarried. * Candidates should be physically fit If you have the above eligibility then you can apply for OTA and IMA otherwise you cannot appear for this. I m doing GNIIT (Software Engineering) along with BSCIT and this is my 2nd year of both graduation and engineering.I have got 55% in my 12th and 74% in my 10th. I have passed out my 12th from science stream. Am i eligible to go for ota? please reply to my Ques as soon as possible. |

Artificial Intelligence test 4.Medical and Physical fitness test Each paper of OTA and IMA consist 300 marks and time duration for each subject was 2 Hours.If you want to fill application forms then please hurry up because last date of Submission of application forms is 28/11/2011. For Admit card of OTA examination please take soft copy of your admit card and print them.No special admit card send to all candidates. OTA- OFFICER'S TRAINING ACADEMY and IMA - INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY are two wings of CDS.
CDS - COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE exam conducte by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for entry into:- INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY INDIAN NAVAL ACADEMY INDIAN AIR FORCE ACADEMY INDIAN OFFICER'S TRAINING ACADEMY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR OTA/IMA OF CDS:- -The candidate must be an unmarried Indian male for IMA and both male and female for OTA -Should have either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University -Should be within the age of 19 to 24 years for IMA and 19 to 25 years for OTA -Should have possessed good Physical and Mental health.
