sir ,i have 5 year gap and in 12th 54.54% mark.i am going to pass my B.TECH from Asansol Engg. college in 2012 with IT branch.will i still eligible in accenture or any software company ?plz ,kindly reply as soon as possible...

i m sunita,i have passed in 2001 with 51% & i did 2 1st year due to problem i skeep the the study and i have did diploma with 82% in 2009 and also doing btech still 75% in final year.i want to know that i got job in software company.i know that my mark is low and gaping is long time plss..give suggestion i m totally confused..

yes, you are definitely eligible for the campus placement....but you have to properly mention your gap to the interwier and for that you need govt. aproved affidavit made in the court which mentions your gap....all the best!!!!

dear different company has different criteria some doesn't think about gap and some does not allow even one year gap so depends on the company weather they allow or not.but it not like that you are not eligible for placement you are eligible according to your acedmic record so try all the company you will get the job .

HI, you have not mention your desired industry , if you want to go for government sector than it's not a problem but if you want to go for private sector then there are some companies which can object this gap like TCS,CTS etc

See you no need to worry if there is a gap of 3 years after b.tech as there is requirement for fresher in companies ...May be you won't get in MNC'S but try to start from even small companies

There is lot of opportunity for talent and hardworking people rather than 3 years log....

Be deterministic and learn some technology and start giving interviews for almost all companies who call you and don't seek for high salary or other advantage in starting of career as you need to work hard and have patience.......

Dear pal,
for becoming eligible for the placement the aspirant need to have completed previous semesters with out standing backlog as far as possible. In certain companies one or two backlog is not considered and they too are taken into consideration
if the aspirant do degree course after a year or so gap it do not affect the eligibility of them for the campus placement.
The placement procedure involves finalising the aspirants based on the marks. Followed by this the aspirants write written exam mainly aptitude. Qualifying which they need to face group discussion if necessary otherwise they will be called for personnel interview.
Do not worry you will surely get placement oppourtunity but qualifying in it is based on your skill and talent. All the best

My friend it varies from company to company..

Some allow year gaps some does not allow year gaps..

But if you want to get a job in software sector then giant IT companies does not allow these study gaps..

Eligibility for IT companies:-

1.Candidate must have secure 60% aggregate through out the career.

2.Candidate should not have any pending backlogs during graduation.

3.Candidate must not have any study gap more than 2 years.

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill..
But as you have 3 years of study gap then sorry to say you than you are not eligible for those IT companies..

You can apply for other private sector jobs or govt. sector jobs...

So, go for it..

As you have a gap of 3 years but still you are eligible for the placements if your percentage of marks is good & you have some experience in your particular field.But sometimes Employers will willing to know about the cause of that Gap & at that time you have to state a solid & feasible reason for the same.

As more the gap is in your degree as lesser your chances to be placed on a good post.So to overcome from such situation it is better to gain some practical knowledge & experience in your particular field because this is the only way to impress your employers & leave a little chance to think more about your Gap.

Your marks are good.
Since you dont have any gap after graduation ( I suppose ), you are eligible.
You wont find it difficult to get placed.

But Many interviewer may ask you for taking 3 year gap in your academic career.
Give a good reason. If you are able to justify your answer and impress them.
You can easily convert your interview into job.

Work hard and improve your subject knowledge, soft skills, body language and confidence.

Irrespective of your percentage of marks in all the academic levels, you are not eligible to appear for campus placements.

Because any MNC or any other company will accept the academic gap of upto 2 years but not more than 2 years.

Even for that 2 years also, the candidate should provide the respective proof.

As per your case,

I am sorry you are not eligible to apply for job opportunities through campus placements.

So, there are few ways for you to get a job are

-Shift to another domain like MBA at Post Graduation level.

-Try for job opportunities in public sector by having good preparation like
IBPS PO Exam
Civil Services Exam.

If you want to settle in IT field, it is sure that it will take time for you.
