For taking admission you have to fill the form of SCRA and if you passed that exam you have to give an interview and then you can do your engineering from railway.

If you have interest to get a job in railway then you have to give an entrance paper like AIEEE,IIT or the third option is state level engineering entrance exam.
So after that you have to choose mechenical or electrical branch for getting a job in railway sector.Computer branch is also good for your enginnering because there is also requirment for a computer engineer.
After engineering you have many options for railway jobs

The notice for the examination, along with form and syllabus, is brought out by the UPSC around the months of June-July. According to the new rules issued by the Ministry of Railways, the exam is now conducted once every two years........

After successful completion of four years of training, the candidates join as Indian Railway Services of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) Officers in Indian Railways to face a challanging and satisfying career.....

I am providing you the various information regarding your query.
Selection to the various engineering branches of the Railways is done through an

Engineering Services Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Dholpur House, Shah Jahan Road, New Delhi. Through this examination candidates are selected for various government organisations e.g Military Engineering Services, Ordinance Factories Engineering Services, Central Engineering Services etc. and also for the Railways.

Eligibility - Graduate Engineers/MSc degree holders with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics, Radio Engineering as special subjects for certain posts only can appear for the Engineering Services examination. The candidates must be between 21 and 30 years (as on 1st Aug)

Examination - The written examination is in two parts. Section I is the Objective type paper while Section II is the conventional type paper covering Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. Candidates selected through this test have to appear for an Interview and Personality Test.

Recruitment to the various services is based on merit in the written examination and the preference indicated while applying. Even the allocation of a particular zone is based or the final merit status and zonal options given.
