Dear
I am providing you the various information regarding your query.
Selection to the various engineering branches of the Railways is done through an

Engineering Services Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Dholpur House, Shah Jahan Road, New Delhi. Through this examination candidates are selected for various government organisations e.g Military Engineering Services, Ordinance Factories Engineering Services, Central Engineering Services etc. and also for the Railways.

Eligibility - Graduate Engineers/MSc degree holders with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics, Radio Engineering as special subjects for certain posts only can appear for the Engineering Services examination. The candidates must be between 21 and 30 years (as on 1st Aug)

Examination - The written examination is in two parts. Section I is the Objective type paper while Section II is the conventional type paper covering Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. Candidates selected through this test have to appear for an Interview and Personality Test.

Recruitment to the various services is based on merit in the written examination and the preference indicated while applying. Even the allocation of a particular zone is based or the final merit status and zonal options given.

Hello friend,
To get admission at the Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Jamalpur, Bihar, you will have to appear for SCRA exam conducted by UPSC for recruiting junior officers to the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers. The eligiblity is a pass in +2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The age limit is 21 years, which is relaxed for reserved and specified categories.
The written examination consists of three papers of 200 each.
General ability test (English, general knowledge and psychological test)
Physical sciences (physics and chemistry)
Maths
The questions are approximately of +2 level and there is negative marking for wrong answer.
The written examination is followed by personality test. If a candidate is selected, he/she will be sent for four years of apprenticeship at the Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Jamalpur, Bihar.

dear friend ,

first of all you don't mention your budget .
if you are belongs from medium categories family then at first i suggest to you that join in coaching center like "pathfinder" for preparation . If you are elligable in
WBJEE ,IIT,AIEEE etc. exam then you simply get the chance for railway engineering.

Otherwise you can take some training from railway department. These kind of training are generally published in employment news, karmakethra ,karmasnsthan etc..

for more please visit ::---

or call 139 toll free.

good luck..

dear friend,

as your economical condition is not good so you can directly apply for jobs in Indian railway after 12th board.

there are lot of vacancies for the post of ESM, TCM,TC, etc in Indian railway.but i will suggest you to complete your graduation.because after graduation your chances of getting jobs in Indian railway will increase.

you can apply for assistant station master, TA, CA etc.

you can also join Indian railway after doing engineering.you can take bank loans for education.
