Eligibility Criteria:
Undergraduate students who have completed at least 2 years of study towards an engineering degree from engineering institutes in India

IIT Delhi has instituted a prestigious summer research fellowship programme for providing an opportunity to exceptionally good undergraduate students of different engineering institutes in India, other than IIT Delhi (and if possible, abroad) to execute an innovative research and development project under the guidance of an IIT Delhi faculty. Students selected are to complete the programme in a span of 8-12 weeks.

The fellowship will cover the following:
(a) cost of travel in the country, to and from IIT Delhi;
(b) stay at IIT Delhi during the visit(s), including boarding and lodging in the Institute hostels; and
(c) a fellowship of Rs. 500/- per week.(costs may vary)

This unit's major responsibility is to interactwith various industrial,management and research organisations in the country with the dual aim of ensuring that the students are given adequate technical exposure / industrial training after their 6th semester (B.Tech, Dual and Integrated programmes) and also enabling them to get employment in organisations whose functional requirements of high calibre engineers, scientists and managers are best met by graduate and post-graduate students of the Institute.
The major functions of this unit are:
*. To arrange practical summer training of B.Tech, Dual Degree and Integrated Programmes at the end of 6th semester in partial fulfilment of their degree requirements by coordinating with various companies,industries etc to provide relevant projects.
*. To invite industries and organisations of repute with the aim of providing employment to students and assisting them in the placement process on IIT Delhicampus.
*. To organise lectures and workshops for students to provide supplemental information on career counselling, interview techniques, soft skills development and introduction to industrial sectors / the professional world.

After IIT Madras, IIT Delhi follows suit and is now inviting the best and the brightest for Summer Research Fellowship Program 2012. This is a paid fellowship for all engineering branches students and 2 nd year engineering students are also eligible to apply. The last date for application is 29-Feb-2012 .
About Internship: - IIT Delhi has instituted a prestigious summer research fellowship program for providing an opportunity to exceptionally good undergraduate students(in top 10 in the class) of different engineering institutes in India to execute an innovative research and development project under the guidance of an IIT Delhi faculty. The fellow will register at IIT Delhi as a visiting student; she/he will not be required to pay institute registration fees.
Who can apply: - Any undergraduate student, other than IIT Delhi (and if possible,abroad), who has completed at least 2 years of study towards an engineering degree, is amongst top ten positions in her/his respective program will be eligible to apply for this fellowship. Students who will be completing this requirement by May 2012 are also eligible.
Application Deadline: – 2 9th February 2011. The selected candidates’ list would be announced on 30 th March 2012

the criteria for doing training from IIT-delhi is nothing, but you should fill up the online form issued by IIT-delhi & send it to IIT along with the draft of training fee of particular course.

You have to choose a subject & then fill up the form & you will be noticed the date of starting batch .
