My GATE score is 409. My AIR is 4695 in EEE stream. Is there any chance to join any NIT'S? If yes mean reply me sir. I am doing 3rd year engineering only. Does it possible to get a chance in NIT TRICHY OR WARANGAL next year?

My Mark is 32.33
My GATE score is 409
My AIR is 4695
My percentile is 93.54
I belonged to EEE stream.
Total candidates appeared in my stream is 72680.
I belonged to SC category.
Will i get admission in the following NIT's on next year?
NIT TRICHY
NIT WARANGAL
NIT CALICUT.
I am doing my 3rd year engineering.

See,there is no restriction on the number of attempts you make in GATE exam and age limit as well. your each attempt or scholarship is valid for 2yrs. Be prepared well for the exam as its one of the hard exams to crack.

GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

* There is no limit for Attempts in gate exam. So, you can attempt as many you can. There is no age limit to.
* The score of gate exam is valid for two years.
* Candidates should get graduation in engineering or in architecture
* Final year candidates are allowed for gate exam.

GATE (graduate aptitude test in engineering) in 2012 there are some new rule to fill up the form
It is strictly online application procedure.

Means you first register with GATE website.

Then you should fill up the application form after submitting your form you get payment options where are two options
1>Net banking
2> Challan

After payment you should send your application to local zonal office via speed post or registered post.

if a student get passed GATE exam in prefinalyear,then that gate score is valid for two years only ,it becomes invalid when he is doing 2nd year m.tech then he wants to write it again or not?

Hi,what you are saying is true, a Proper Gate score is valid only for two years, so if you are planning to go for PH.D after your mtech ,then you have to write GATE paper again,it will update the score and will have an added advantage.

In some colleges,they have separate exam also with interview and all,Gate score is compulsory,but it is valid only for two years.

During these two years you can apply for any colleges,after that you have to write it again if you want to apply again after that!

i have applied for GATE exam and i got my admit card as well but i dont want to attend...wil the attempts to attend gate would be wasted?

You don't need to worry about the number of attempts for GATE Exam., The reason being there is no limit on number of attempts for GATE Exam. One can take this exam as many times as they wanted subject to fulfilling of required academic qualification.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. This exam is being conducted by IITs in India to give admission for M.Tech course in various colleges in India.

One should have completed Graduation in Engineering in order to be eligible to apply for this Exam.

Candidates who are pursuing final year of Engineering course also can apply for this Exam.

There is no upper age limit to apply for this Exam.

So, this many benefits are being provided by GATE Exam to the candidates.

As you have applied for GATE Exam, have good preparation for this Exam and crack it.

Better to get admission for this course in IITs so that you will be having fruitful career.
