Information regarding number of attempt in the GATE examination.

GATE examination is conducted by the management of IIT college for the admission in the M.Tech course at IIT college. To appear in the GATE examination you need the following eligibility criteria :

Educational Qualification = Bachelor degree in the field of engineering and technology from a recognize University. OR Master degree in the any branch of Science/mathematics/static/computer application. The final or pre-final year candidates of this course are eligible to apply for GATE examination.

NOTE :- There are no age and no. of attempt limit for the GATE examination. So, you can appear in the GATE exam at any age and many times as your wish.

For the M.Tech program GATE entrance exam is conducted at the national level. This exam is conducted by the IIT’s. For this exam there is no age bar but you have to complete your B.Tech or higher education. This entrance exam you can give as much you like there is no limitation.

and also there is no minimum percentage criteria ,

GATE exam conduct once time in a year . it is not correct information ,GATE exam conduct twice time year.

there are no limitation to attempts GATE exam. you can try it in many times.

There is no limit in attempting GATE exam...you can sit for these exam as many times as you want until you satisfy with your rank.

But The GATE score card will be valid for two consecutive years.
So try to rank good in your first attempt.

No that is true.

GATE exam held only once in a year....and too most probably on the first sunday of February.
But it does not held in August...it held only in February.

* The candidates should be a b.tech graduate in any stream
*there is no age limit bar for this exam & you can appear this exam as your wish how much you can.........
after GATE exam you can do i.e M.TECH which is good for you to get good job & good salary...

GATE examination is conducted by IIT institute every year only one times.GATE examination is not done two times in a year .GATE examination is done for those students who wants to pursue higher education in Mtech in IIT's and other best colleges .All best colleges ask for the GATE marks for admission in the Mtech program.

Eligibility for the GATE

You must have done your 4 year graduation in any engineering streams.

If you are not from the engineering branch then only those students who have done their Master degree in the any branch of Science/mathematics/static/computer application

There is not age limit for the GATE exam and you can take the exams as many times as you want .There is no limitation in number of attempts .

Pre final year students are also eligible to take the exam .

GATE exam is of total 150 marks and dived into three parts and question papers is of objective types .

Well i think you misunderstood your seniors .GATE exam is not done twice a year but its score is valid for 2 years which means that your score card is valid for 2 years .

friend first of all its just a myth that gate exam is conducted twice a year bcose gate is conducted only once a year in the month of feb,second sunday every yr.also there is no restrictions on the no. of attempts u will have to be in prefinal yr or above if u want to appear for gate exam.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

Gate eligibility Criteria :-

For gate,the candidate must have a graduate degree in Engineering/Technology from any recognized university or equivalent qualification and those in the final year of examination can also eligible to apply for the examination.

(Or)

Those who have completed the master degree or appearing the final year of post graduate degree can also apply for this examination.

but GATE score card is valid only for two years after the publication of GATE result. so if you have any good result in GATE then you have to take admission in M.Tech within two years of publication of GATE result.
