To appear within the limit of 4 number of attempts, is somehow fair but unjustified as there are many number of candidates from the poverty and underprivileged sections among the status of General candidates with a full grown talents, and unable to utilized due to weak in the financial and economic streangth. the limit must be considered for extension for 6 times by the UPSC BOARD.

Hi,
I have a doubt here. When filling the prelims application form i mentioned that i belong to OBC category as my father`s income was less than 450,000. But after few days if filling the form (after the last date of filling the form) i came to know that for govenrment employees (my father is a retired govt officer), only their position is considered for determining if you belong to OBC creamy/non creamy layer. My father was recuited as a class II officer and got promoted to Class I before he turned 40. So as per the rule i don`t belong to the non creamy layer. So i wanted to change my application form but UPSC doesnot allow it. My question is if i clear the prelims with marks greater then the general cutoff marks will i be able to change the details in the main application form? Regards, samrat |
