JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination. JEE has two parts namely JEE Main and JEE Advanced. The JEE Main and Advanced examinations are conducted by CBSE and IIT for offering admissions in undergraduate engineering courses in NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and IITs.

Age Criteria for JEE :-

=> The upper age limit to appear in JEE Main and Advanced examination is 25 years as on 1st October of the year of examination.

=> Relaxation of five years in upper age limit is applicable to SC/ ST/ PWD category candidates to appear in JEE Main and Advanced examination.

Candidates who have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects from a Government recognised board are eligible to appear in JEE Main examination and candidates who have qualified and secured top 1,50,000 rank (among all categories) in JEE Main examination are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced examination.

The examination is held in two stages which includes JEE Main and JEE Advance respectively.

The basic qualifications required for appearing in the same examination are as here under :-

--> You must have the nationality of India with your age not exceeding 25 years by the 31st October of that year in which you are appearing in the same examination. Further age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per the government norms.

--> You must have either completed your higher secondary school degree with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects with a minimum of 60% aggregate from a recognized board. Marks relaxation of 10% in qualifying examination is applicable reserved category candidates.

Eligibility criteria to appear in JEE:

A candidate must have done 12th with non medical stream with at least 60% marks from recognised board and age should not be less than 17 years in the year of examination in the month of December. Relaxation in upper age limit is given to the candidates of reserved categories but not in the lower age limit. You must have Indian citizenship.

JEE stands for Joint Entrance examination.

JEE is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education. This examination has two stages. JEE Main is conducted for admission in NITs and government engineering colleges and JEE advanced is conducted for IIT admissions.

Eligibility criteria:

1. You must have done 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics to apply for this exam. Minimum of 50% marks in board exam is required.

2. There is no minimum age limit decided, the year in which you appear for 10+2 board exams, you can apply for JEE Main exam that year, this is simple rule for this exam.

There are three consecutive attempts for JEE Main and two consecutive attempts for JEE Advanced.

JEE refers to Joint Entrance Examination and it is a common engineering entrance examination which came into existence in 2012 replacing AIEEE & IIT JEE for admission in the undergraduate technical courses in government colleges like IIT, NIT, etc and private colleges too.

As far as you are looking for the age criteria of same examination, then in case of general category candidate's age must be below 25 years by the 1st October of that year in which he/she will be appearing in his board examination. For reserved category there is provision of age relaxation of 5 years.

Apart from age criteria, you must have either completed your Class 12th or going to appear in your Class 12th board examination with PCM group with a minimum of 60% aggregate ( in case of reserved category candidates aggregate must be at least 50% ) from a recognized board.
