what is the max. age limit for gate examination?...please mention to me the limit

As such there is no maximum or minimum age limit for GATE examination.
Those who are in final year or have passed B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc.(Science/Maths/Stats./Computer Application)
or other equivalent exam, are eligible to apply and appear for GATE exam.

There could be an age restriction in some institute (or in some job) where you use the
GATE score for getting admission in M.Tech. or for getting job.

Generally, IITs do not put any such age criteria for admission to M.Tech. programs.
So, you should feel free appearing the GATE-2012.

You should visit any IIT website and check their eligibility criteria of admission.

GATE i.e Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering and this examination is conducted by IIT's every year.Large number of candidates appear for this examination.

Eligibility for GATE :-

There is no restriction for GATE exam
GATE exam score card is valid up to 2 years
For addmission in IIT you go for after secure rank then there
they will conduct another interview to find good candidate..

The best way for the M.Tech is Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) which is an all-India examination administered and conducted in eight zones.

Basically there is no maximum age limit foe GATE examination.

So you are eligible for GATE.

Besides this I have mentioned some important books which will help you in practice session and please collect different books of Gate fouram books from library .These books are :

1. GATE 2012 by G.K.Publishers
2. GATE 2012 by Handa
3. Quantative Aptitude by R.S.Agarwall

Maximum age for GATE Exam is 30 year On August of current year of examination.

If you want to go for GATE exam then you must have fulfill the below given criteria.

(a) Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent.

(b) Bachelor’s degree holders in Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Electronics/ followed by qualifications obtained through an examination conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE.

(c) Bachelor’s degree holders in Architecture/Design (for M Des program only)

(d) Master’s degree holders in Physics with Electronics/Instrumentation (for M Tech programs).

There are no restriction for attempts in GATE exam.You can apply here maximum time.

There is no age criteria but your minimum age must be above 18 years.

GATE score is valid for TWO years.

NOTE:-

3rd year student are NOT eligible for This year GATE exam.

Only final year and pass out batch are eligible for 2012 GATE exam.

GATE- GRADUATE APTITUDE TEST FOR ENGINEERS exam has no maximum age limit, those who are in final year of the B.Tech engineering course or graduate engineers/Post graduate degree holder in Science are eligible to appear for GATE.

So admission in to M.Sc. courses has no bar on age of a candidate all are free to appear for this exam.

GATE examination is conducted by the management of IIT college for the admission in the M.Tech course in IIT college. Many other college also take admission in the M.Tech course through the GATE examination.

If you want to know the no. of attempt and age criteria for the GATE examination then here i give you the details information.

There are no limit of number of attempt and age criteria for the GATE examination so you can appear in the GATE examination at any age and many times according to own wish.

NOTE :- According to GATE-2012 notification the pre-final year candidates are not eligible for the GATE-2012 examination. Only final year and pass candidates are eligible to apply for the GATE-2012 examination.

Eligibility-GATE 2012

The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear for GATE 2012:

Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final year of such programmes.

Master’s degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such program mes.

Candidates in the fourth or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master’s degree programme or Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology.

Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institute of Engineers (India); AMICE by Institute of Civil Engineers (India)) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.


There is nothing like minimum or maximum age limit for appearing for the gate
exam.So many try to complete their M.Tech after they get enough and more
practical experience by working in a good company.Later they opt to choose
the branch of their interest based upon the experience gained.

Maximum Age Limit For GATE

GATE is conducted every year for admissions to the M.Tech courses in some of the best colleges all over India like Indian Institute of Technology,National Institute of Technology,BITS Pilani,IISc (Bangalore),IISER and many more..

GATE score is also a criterion for gaining entry to the various Public Sector Units in India like NTPC,BHEL,etc..

This Examination is conducted by the Indian Institute Of Science - Bangalore and the Seven IITs for the admission of B.Tech pass outs in M.Tech programme.

The Eligibility Criteria for GATE are :


* You must have completed your B.E/B.Tech programmes from any of the recognized college/university.

* you do not have any pending backlogs.

* There is no age limit for GATE.

I must tell you that GATE stands for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. Its conducted by the IIT's every year for the M.Tech admissions in various colleges and also for the PSU Companies recruitment's.
Now if you want to take up this examination then at first you would have to satisfy these Eligibility Criteria's :-

1. Minimum graduate in B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Pharmacy from a recognized college or technical university

2. There are no age nor attempts limits for this exam...

SO YOU CAN TAKE UP THIS EXAM ANYTIME ANYWHERE. There is officially no age nor attempt limits to this exam as it can be done even after gaining some experience..

If you want to apply for the GATE, then this year the application process is already over.. I would request you to apply next year..

Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineers

This is the entrance exam for those who want to take admission in M.Tech in Engineering. Those candidates who have qualified or appearing in Bachelors degree are able to apply for GATE.

There is no any age restriction to appear in GATE examination, but your minimum age must be 19 years.
There is also no any provision for number of attempts for GATE exam. But, GATE rank is valid only for 2 years.

Helo friend, i need to tell you that there is NO AGE LIMIT to apply for GATE entrance.

ELIGIBILITY are as below-

# Degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture

GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering conducted by IIT and Indian Institute of Science for admission to M.Tech. Courses in IITs, NITs etc.

There is no upper age restriction to apply for GATE.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian Citizen having either appear for the final B.Tech. Degree exam in any stream from a recognised University above the age of 20 years.

GATE exams are conducted by anyone of the IIT each year

Eligibilty to appear in the GATE exams is:
BE/BTECH Pass
even if you are a 4th Year student of BE/BTECH you can apply for the GATE exams

AGE- There is no cap on age to apply for the GATE exams
You can apply to this exam till any age

GATE exams for the year 2013 were held on 20th January 2013 and 10th February 2013
