There is No such Relaxation on Age for Defense personal for writing CDSE exam.

The Only Criteria For CDSE are :-

For IMA i.e Indian Military academy age should be 19 years to 23 years of age.

For IAF i.e Indian Air force age should be 19 years to 23 years.

For Officer's training academy it should be 19 years to 25 years.

and last for Naval academy it should be 19 to 22 years.

* For Naval Academy: B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering
* For Air Force Academy: Degree of a Recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering

Combined Defence Services Examination Details

- Tentative Schedule: (Examination held twice a year)

Total 300 Marks

(b) For Officers’ Training Academy

1. English (Objective type) 100 Marks
2. General Knowledge (Objective type) 100 Marks

Total 200 Marks

Marks for SSB Interviews
IMA, NA and AFA 300 marks
OTA 200 Marks

The age limit for
IMA is 23 years.
IAF is 23 years.
OA is 25 years.
NA is 22 years.

Age limit for defense personnel for giving CDS exam

Since you are a defence person so you have different criteria
to apply for the officers exam. The exam details for the officer
level exam will be obtained from the education department of
your unit.

The CDSE exam is conducted only for the fresh candidates. This
exam is not for the serving persons or the ex-service men.
So you can't apply for the CDSE exam if you are in defence now.

The age limit required for the fresh candidates for the CDSE
examination.

For IMA (Indian Military academy) 19 to 23 years.

For IAF (Indian Air force) 19 to 23 years.

For OTA (Officer's training academy)19 to 25 years.

For NA(Naval academy) 19 to 22 years.

there is no restriction for the service personnel appearing for CDS. they can very well appear for the test provided they meet other elligibility criteria such as age and education qualification... all the best...good luck

The "Combined Defense Services" Examination or the CDS Exam is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy.

Educational Eligibility For CDS Exam - Graduation in any stream with minimum 50 % aggregate marks from a regonised institute / university.

Age Eligibility For CDS Exam - 21 Years to 30 Years.

Physical Eligibility For CDS Exam - A candidate should be physically and mentally fit.

1. Eye Sight = 6/6,
2. Height = 167 cms,
3. Weight: 50 Kg
4. Chest: 77 cm (Normal) / 82 cm (Expanding)

Age limit for CDS(Common Defence Service) exam.

The exam is conducted by UPSC(union public service commission). The exam is for army,navy,air force.

* Candidates should be a graduate from a recognized university
* Age limit must be within 19-22 years for Navy
* Age limit must be within 19-24 years for Army
* Age limit must be within 19-23 years for Air Force.
* Only unmarried male candidates are allowed for the exam
* Final year can also attend the exam.
